Research indicates that many businesses are still unaware of the requirements by law to display 'No Smoking' signs at the entrance to their shops and offices from 1st July 2007.
The new law is being introduced to protect employees and the public from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke.

CBI Survey indicates continued manufacturer optimism
The CBI Industrial Trends Survey for May showed that manufacturers were expecting to increase their prices on the back of healthy order books. 32% of firms said they were dealing with 'above normal' levels of orders, compared with 26% who said they were 'below normal'. Although export orders have decreased, output volumes are expected to increase over the next three months.
